Public hearing on Belo Monte is suspended

The audience is conditioned in accordance with the Federal Court, at the outlet of the invaders. The purpose of the hearing is that the members of indigenous communities and civil entities that occupy the construction site to present their claims to the North.

Yesterday (13) a judicial officer flew over the area and found that the site remains occupied. The justice must assess the fulfillment of the order and issue a new sentence. But there is no deadline for a new determination. It is expected that to occur this week.

The federal judge Hakanson, Altamira, determined the conduct of the hearing three days ago. However, he recommended that about 60 attackers leave the construction of Belo Monte, Pimental Site, until the end of yesterday morning. The occupation of the site took place on April 8.

For safety reasons, the Belo Monte Constructor Consortium withdrew from the 900 employees, stopping the work. According to the indigenous missionary Council (Cimi), participating in the occupation of ethnic Indians, Xipaya Kuruaia, Parakanã, Arara, Juruna and Assurini, who joined the fishermen that there are 26 days protesting against the bus of the Xingu River.
