Accused of ordering murder of extractive couple is acquitted

The jury trial of Marabá, in the southeast of Pará, acquitted on Thursday (4) the farmer José Rodrigues Moreira, accused of being the mastermind of the murder of the couple of extractivists Laila Ribeiro da Silva and Maria do Espírito Santo. Two other defendants were sentenced for the crime.
