The struggle of the workers of the works of the Belo Monte hydroelectric plant continues. According to the Member of the CSP-Conlutas Walter Santos, who is supporting the strike, this Saturday (6) the Suppression of National Force on Site workers Pimental was strong. “Are treating workers like animals, as cattle herd. The strike is peaceful, but the federal Government and the CCBM [Consórcio Construtor Belo Monte] Act so nipped “, denounced.

According to Walter, over 450 workers were laid off in this Saturday and the National Force forced the workers to hand over the badge. Another list of resignation over 450 names is also being prepared for the next few days. “This is how the worker is dismissed, so action. Labor laws are not respected, “he stressed.

The workers held a March of 22 kilometers peacefully in solidarity with the workers on strike of canals and Dikes. “But the National Force trapped workers, forced to retreat and helped dismiss the participants of the March,” said Walter.

The strike continues questioning the injustices and the Sintrapav (Union of employees in the heavy construction Industry in the State of Pará) affiliated to the Union Force, which, according to the workers, is silent and does not support their claims. The CSP-Conlutas and Sinticma (Union of workers in Lumber and Light construction of Altamira) supports the workers to fight for their rights.

Were listed more than 35 items of claims that have been delivered to the Department of labor relations of the CCBM. The main ones are: 40% additional containment; Downloaded from 3 months to all; General SINTRAPAV leave; End of 5 by 1; Equal pay; End of function, etc.

In addition to the claims and complaints of bad working conditions, the workers are demanding the dismissal of Sintrapav. The entity that always opposes the mobilisation of workers is already demoralized by the workers.

The CSP-Conlutas and Sinticma remain firm next to the workers. “A fighting Union should always have only one side, the side of the workers against the bosses. Let’s together, building trust and respect to conquer our agenda, “said Walter.

“The CCBM does not have the right to escalate our time: only we, the workers themselves, is that we decided to whom we represent,” he said.
