The meeting of the parliamentary front in defense of indigenous peoples, in the House of representatives yesterday on Tuesday (16), claim that the plenary will be 1 only after the withdrawal of the tariff PEC 215/2000, that transfers of the National Congress for the final decision on indigenous lands in the country. The action was part of the national mobilization against the assaults of the rural bench to modify the rules of marking and remove the powers of the National Indian Foundation (Funai). The Mayor, Henrique Alves (PMDB/RN), was present at the public hearing and pledged to ask the party leaders who do not indicate to the Commission representatives of the PEC 215. 7:0 later, Sarney Son brought a response that did not please the indigenous leaders and decided to make this demonstration in the hallway singing, screaming and even occupy the plenary of members ‘ camera.

  1. Devemos ser críticos no que tentam nos impor; Cuidado com as palavras ”invadiram” e entre outras… A mídia e a tirania manipulam as pessoas dessa forma. O Congresso é público e aqueles representantes – Senadores e Deputados – estão em seus mundinhos fechados distantes das suas funções. São professores, organizações, sem terras, sindicatos e agora o povo índio são impedidos de entrar pela segurança, que é ilegal a polícia do senado, mas existe, assim devemos ocupar o que é do povo! E ainda uma bancada indígena JÁ!
