Today, in the international day of indigenous peoples, the chief raoni speaks of respect to those people and leave a message:
” The same creator of mebengokre (Indigenous), created the kubem (Non-Indigenous), there was a difference between these peoples and the kubem did not respect the mebengokre.
Time passed, and with him many conflicts occurred.
The Mebengokre did you learn to speak the language of the kubem and some kubens learned the language of the mebengokre, that’s where I began to understand that there were differences, but that respect should be the beginning of everything.
Today there are many kubens which respect and defend the rights of indigenous peoples. But there’s still a lot to do, especially on the part of the political representatives, the National Congress must respect us.
A hug to all mebengokre of Brazil and the world. Jabit!”

Jabit!”
